At Christmas and holidays, postal services’ delivery times can sometimes be longer, which unfortunately, I have no control over.

Care instructions

Hand wash or dishwasher?
Hand washing is always kinder to hand-made ceramics because the harsh chemicals in dishwashers can scratch the glazes over time and they are also more likely to chip, if they knock into other items. However, putting them in the dishwasher every now and then is fine (we do), so maybe alternate between hand washing and dishwasher.

Microwaves
My pottery will probably be fine in the microwave. But, to be on the safe side, I recommend you don’t.

Thermal shock
As with all ceramics, avoid thermal shock (cracks and damage caused by rapid temperature changes). The bigger the piece, the greater the risk, so always warm teapots or large mugs with a little hot water before filling. Allow freshly-boiled water to cool a little before filling your mug and always heat food in ceramics from a cold oven. Lastly, don’t put a plate from the fridge straight into a hot oven or microwave. Or put a hot dish into a sink of water.
