Hello. My journey with clay started in 2010 following a career in arts marketing. After moving from London to Abergavenny (my nearly home town), I started hand-building classes in nearby Crickhowell. I was hooked and from then on knew I wanted to work with clay. I attended classes, helped potters in their workshops, signed up to courses, and sought inspiration and tips from potters around the UK. With some second-hand equipment and a makeshift workshop in the garden shed, I practised throwing every spare moment. A few years later, and after many hours of throwing, turning and glazing (and a move to a bigger studio), I now supply selected restaurants and cafés and display my work in shops and galleries. My philosophy is simple: to make objects that people enjoy using every day. Each piece is carefully designed and considered, so it’s functional and also a pleasure to hold and look at. I use Staffordshire stoneware clay and all my work is thrown on the wheel. I really hope you enjoy looking at my website. If you’d like to stay in touch, you can find me on Instagram.
